Hello everyone, I’m bokeytime. In this episode, I’ll bring you a comparison review of the ZF factory’s Tudor Black Bay 54 series M79000N – 0001 “Little Cannon” with the original genuine product. The pictures are provided by the ZF factory, and Bo Ji helps to transfer them for your reference. Also, I’ll briefly talk about the differences.
On the left is the original genuine product, and on the right is the replica from ZF factory. It can be seen that the two are very similar in appearance. Under a macro view, there will be some slight differences in the center shafts of the hands of the two. In other aspects, they are basically the same. Here, it should be briefly mentioned that when the hour hand of the genuine product is magnified, there are slight burrs. Mainly because Tudor officially positions it as a tool watch, it is understandable that the hands of the genuine product are not so delicate.
The Night-Shining Pearls from the ZF factory tend to be a bit more yellowish, while the genuine products are relatively whiter. There are no other issues. The rims of both are made of aluminum alloy and have a slight frosted texture. When wearing them later, you should avoid knocking them against other objects.
The watch cases and crowns are basically the same. There are no problems with the workmanship, and the material of both is 316L stainless steel.
The watch strap and the buckle are exactly the same. As for the engraved characters, since the genuine product is a second – hand one that has been used and is a bit dirty, the engraved characters seem shallower. Also, the inner side of the extension buckle of the genuine product is relatively rough, and the ZF factory follows the original design in this regard…
In terms of the movement, the original model uses the MT5400 movement, a self – produced movement by Tudor official. It has a one – position time – adjustment function and a power reserve of 70 hours. The ZF factory, on the other hand, uses the Seagull 2824 movement. In terms of time – keeping stability, it is very reliable. When adjusting the time, there is an additional calendar idle position. The power reserve is only 42 hours. Of course, 42 hours of power reserve for an automatic mechanical watch is sufficient for daily use.
Overall, the appearance of the ZF Factory’s Black Bay 54 “Little Cannon” has a relatively high degree of restoration. There are no problems at a normal social distance, unless you look at it with a magnifying glass. This Tudor watch is also highly recommended. It is very suitable for watch enthusiasts with small wrists who like dive watches.
