MX Factory has also replicated these functions one by one, ensuring they are authentic and fully operational. Now, let’s follow the images taken by Bokey to evaluate the craftsmanship and authenticity of this MX Factory Traditionnelle 4010T.
The MX Factory Traditionnelle 4010T features a railway-track minute scale and dauphine-style hour/minute hands, retaining Vacheron Constantin’s signature calendar display. The day and month windows are symmetrically positioned on either side of the dial, while an outer numeral chapter ring for the date display is elegantly indicated by a slender black crescent-tipped hand—enhancing legibility. This ingenious design breaks the monotony of the dial, prominently showcasing the intricate moon phase complication at 6 o’clock. It balances dynamic elegance with refined mechanical artistry.
In terms of the mirror, sapphire glass is also used. The overall transparency is very good and there will be no foggy problem.
Take a close-up look at one of its details. The metal LOGO at 12 o’clock is polished smoothly and the installation is relatively centered. In terms of the scale, it is also in line with the original craftsmanship. The middle is brushed and the two sides are chamfered and polished.
At 9 o’clock, this is the week display. The overall window is still relatively clean and has a stepped shape.
At 6 o’clock is the moon phase window. The overall window is still relatively good and there will be no roughness. The moon phase disk inside is also relatively three-dimensional. Functionally, many people don’t understand the meaning of this moon phase. In fact, it corresponds to the waxing and waning of the moon in the sky, which is the lunar calendar we are familiar with.
The hands feature a dauphine-style design with dual finishing—one side is sandblasted while the other is polished (a technique known as ‘yin-yang finishing’). This enhances legibility by creating optimal light contrast.
The row of numbers on the periphery is the calendar display, and its background color is also processed with the same orbital pattern as the original. The black pointer is the calendar indicator pointer. The end also has a moon shape and is processed with sandblasted gray.
After looking at the details of the dial, let’s measure the size data of the MX factory’s Heritage 4010T. According to the actual measurement by Bokey, the diameter of the watch is 41 millimeters, the thickness is 10.5 millimeters, and the weight is 83 grams. Except for being about 20 grams lighter than the original in weight, everything else is in line with the original.
The weight difference mentioned above is actually the difference in the material of the case. The original is made of 18K gold. Due to cost limitations, the MX factory uses 316L stainless steel.
In terms of the workmanship of the case, it is still relatively good. The whole is processed with polishing technology. The glossiness is also relatively bright. The side is also the same as the original. There are adjustment buttons. On the left is one for adjusting the week. On the right, the top is for adjusting the month and the bottom is for adjusting the calendar. The moon phase button is in the 7 o’clock direction.
The back is a see-through design. In the middle is sapphire glass. Around the back cover are brand information engravings. The engravings are also relatively clear and deep.
In terms of the movement, it is equipped with a Japanese Citizen 9015 modified 2460 QCL/1 movement. Compared with the genuine product in terms of the appearance of the movement, it still lacks a bit. However, the advantage is that this movement is relatively stable and durable and can realize all functions.
For the strap, it is made of cowhide. Both the front and back are pressed with crocodile leather patterns. The texture is still very good. Of course, if you have sufficient budget, you can upgrade to double-sided crocodile leather. The buckle is a double-press pin buckle, which is also very convenient to wear.
In general, the overall restoration degree of this MX factory’s Heritage 4010T full calendar watch is still relatively high. Wearing it on the hand will not have the problem of being obviously fake. It is still relatively suitable for playing with and is a good replica watch.
