It is worth noting that DIW Customizing Company always bases its modifications on the 3135 movement version of the old Submariner (why are customizing factories so stingy…). Therefore, VS Factory has definitely redeveloped this based on the original 40mm case with the 3135 movement. This movement is the same as the traditional Submariner’s, so there’s not much to elaborate on – it’s all about stability and durability. You may have noticed that in our previous posts, we always strongly recommended the oldest and most stable 28-series movements, but now we don’t mention them as much. This is because the new Dandong 31 and 32 series movements have gained recognition for their stability, with a genuinely low repair rate, while also being faithful to the original design. Therefore, there’s no need to always use the older 28-series movements. The only advantage of the 28-series movements now is that repairs are incredibly convenient, but apart from that, they have no real advantages. As a result, many manufacturers no longer offer the 28-series movements as an option when launching new Rolex collections.
The strap is also made of 904L stainless steel, which is the same as the ordinary water ghost, and the polishing has been changed, and you can see that the inside of the case is also matte, and this process is not easy to stain fingerprints.
