Watch Review: FK Factory Breguet Classic Collection 5177bb V3 Ultimate Edition

Hello everyone, this is Bokey Watch Industry. If we were to select the ten most classic models from all formal business-style wristwatches, I believe the Breguet Classic Collection 5177 would definitely rank among the top three. As a standard formal business-style timepiece, the 5177 embodies both traditional business design aesthetics and all the classic elements of Breguet, with an overall elegant and noble appearance that is highly appealing. In this review, we will discuss the V3 Ultimate Edition of the 5177BB replicated by the FK factory. Some replica watch enthusiasts may wonder: Why is FK’s version called the V3 Ultimate Edition? Those familiar with the Breguet Classic 5177 know that two manufacturers previously produced excellent replicas of the 5177BB: the FK factory and the MKS factory. When it comes to the MK factory, their 5177B excelled in details and dimensions. The MK model was extremely thin, matching the thickness of the genuine watch. However, while their focus on thinness achieved a case thickness of 8.8mm for the 5177—0.2mm thinner than the original—by modifying the 9015 movement to make it even thinner, this pursuit of thinness became both a blessing and a curse. Due to technical immaturity, the modified movement suffered from instability and frequent stopping issues, forcing Bokey to delist the MK factory’s Breguet 5177 from our inventory.

When it comes to this wristwatch, it’s necessary to mention the previous versions. The V1 and V2 versions previously produced were not very outstanding, which is why Bokey has never recommended them—mainly due to issues with their thickness. However, the FK factory has recently upgraded and improved this Breguet 5177BB, claiming that this version is the ultimate edition. But is this upgrade really as impressive as FK claims? Next, Bokey will discuss this FK V3 Ultimate Edition Breguet 5177 with you, examining its specific craftsmanship, any discrepancies or flaws compared to the genuine product, and how accurately it replicates the original.

In terms of the front appearance, the FK5177 matches the genuine model in size at 38mm. The dial features an enamel dial surface fired at low temperature using the grand feu technique, paired with Breguet Arabic numeral hour markers. These markers are delicate and slender yet clearly legible. The FK factory uses sapphire crystal glass for the mirror, which is coated with a colorless anti-reflective coating, ensuring overall transparency and clarity.

Regarding the case. The genuine model is crafted from 18K white gold, while FK uses stainless steel. In reality, when comparing physical samples, the genuine product is slightly heavier due to the density of white gold. Due to the cost constraints of replicas, it is impossible to use real 18K gold, which everyone should understand.

The dial of the FK Breguet Classic Collection 5177 features an enamel surface paired with blued steel hands, both matching the original in color and craftsmanship. The combination of the enamel dial and blued steel hands creates a captivating minimalist aesthetic. A small date window is positioned at the 3 o’clock direction, complemented by highly transparent sapphire crystal glass. On the dial, the artistic appeal of the numerical hour markers is clearly evident. The date window of this model is particularly unique—it is not a standard rectangle but a narrow square, requiring custom-made date shafts. The date display aligns perfectly, with thick, clearly legible font printing. The hands are blued through a steel-bluing process, exhibiting a subtle and elegant hue. Their circular design matches the genuine model’s shape, with an appropriate thickness that adds to their elegance.

The slim case side replicates Breguet’s traditional coin-edge pattern, fully demonstrating FK’s excellent grasp of the watch’s details. The curved bezel of the watch is polished to be round to the touch and bright in luster. After this thickness upgrade, FK’s version measures 9.3mm, while the genuine product is 9mm thick—a difference of only 0.3mm. Without precise instruments, this gap is imperceptible to the naked eye.

The side of the crown is also decorated with a ridged pattern. After polishing, the FK5177 features the Breguet logo engraved on the top of the crown.

The back also uses sapphire crystal glass. The engraving on the case back is slightly shallower than that of the genuine product. The movement is the biggest improvement of FK Factory’s V3 Ultimate Edition. Previous V1 and V2 versions used 2824 and 9015 movements with fake plates, but FK now directly adopts the third-generation replica movement solution – polishing and modifying directly on the original Miyota 9015 plate instead of using the previous fake plate mechanism. This greatly improves stability, eliminating issues like screw loss causing the watch to stop, which occurred in previous versions. The diameter of the movement has also been expanded to match the original size, with the overall appearance of the movement achieving a restoration rate of over 85%.

Through the mirror of the case back, the structure of the movement can be seen with clear and precise polishing craftsmanship. The color of the jewels on the movement plates and the engravings are very clear, and the ripples on the automatic rotor flow smoothly and naturally.

The strap of the FK Breguet 5177 is made of black glossy Italian calf leather embossed with alligator texture.

The case uses a pin buckle. There is no logo on the front, while the back features some precious metal hallmarks.
