Compared with the previous “No Time to Die” version of the special 60th anniversary edition of Bond by VS Factory, there is no aging effect. However, the wavy pattern on the dial is similar to the style of the first generation of the Seamaster 300 series, giving a sense of tribute.
Overall, the workmanship is the same as that of the previous No Time to Die version of VS Factory, and it also uses a sapphire glass bubble mirror.
In terms of dial details, the blue wavy dial has an overall pattern consistent with the genuine product. The color difference is relatively small. The hour and minute hands are polished very well. There is no roughness when viewed from the side. In terms of the second hand, a retro lollipop-style second hand is used. This is also a commonly used design in the retro style series of Omega’s Seamaster 3000.
In terms of the bezel, it uses an aluminum bezel like the genuine product. At the 12 o’clock position of the bezel, the inverted triangle luminous pearl is replaced by the number 60, which is also the commemorative number for the 60th anniversary of Bond 007’s appearance on the big screen.
At the same time, the bezel scale is also covered with luminous filler. The luminous effect can be seen to be very sharp, and it also synchronizes with the genuine product’s two-color luminous design.
The overall size of the special 60th anniversary edition of Bond by VS Factory is 41.9 millimeters * 13.9 millimeters, and the weight is 148.7 grams. The overall parameters are not much different from the genuine product.
The watch case is made of 316L stainless steel. The case body has smooth lines and exquisite brushed finish. The function of the crown on the upper left corner of the genuine product is an exhaust valve. Although the one from VS Factory can be screwed out, it has no real function.
On the right is the time adjustment crown. There is a relief of the Resistance LOGO on the top of the crown. The blue part is a protective film. Watch enthusiasts can tear it off after receiving it. In terms of function, it is the same as the genuine product. After loosening the crown and pulling it out, the time can be adjusted.
The back adopts a see-through design, and the back cover is fixed by seven screws. Because it is a 60th anniversary model, the back is printed with the number “60”. At the same time, there is also a vortex pattern and a James doll printed on the sapphire glass. Of course, the original doll is a movable doll with a two-layer structure and a small stake linked to the second hand, with four frames of action. While VS Factory directly prints it all on and it is a fixed pattern.
In terms of the strap, it uses a Milanese strap made of 316L stainless steel and is matched with a double-press folding buckle. There is no problem with the overall workmanship. The only deficiency is the position of the end piece. VS Factory still uses the end piece of the genuine No Time to Die MK1 version instead of the long strip end piece of the genuine new version. It is hoped that VS Factory can make some upgrades later.
Finally, to sum up, this special 60th anniversary edition of Bond by VS Factory is relatively good in overall workmanship, but there are still some deficiencies in two details, the end piece of the strap and the 007 Bond doll animation on the back. Although it can’t be said to be a blatant fake at a glance, when purchasing, it is still necessary to be aware of these two detailed differences.
Finally, to summarize, this VS Factory Bond 60th Anniversary Special Edition is quite good in overall craftsmanship, but there are still some shortcomings in two details: the strap end links and the 007 Bond doll animation on the back. Although it cannot be called an obvious fake at first glance, these two details of difference still need to be noted when purchasing.
