Hello everyone, this is Bokey Watch Industry. Today, we will introduce the MKS Factory V2 upgraded version of the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Series 85180 white gold model. MKS Factory has launched this watch for more than two years, and it has always been the highest-quality version on the market. However, many watch enthusiasts are still unfamiliar with the craftsmanship of the MKS Patrimony 85180 V2 version. Below, we will explain it through real-shot images.

Review of the MKS Factory V2 Upgraded Patrimony 85180/000G-9230 Watch
In terms of the front appearance, the MKS Factory V2 Patrimony model features a milky white dial with a large three-hand design. The date window is located at the 6 o’clock position, and the watch mirror is made of sapphire glass, ensuring overall transparency and clarity.

In terms of dial details, the MKS factory replicates the original craftsmanship, adopting a “pot lid”-shaped dial design, where the edges of the dial are curved downward, resembling a pot lid. This craftsmanship is also commonly seen in Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master series. Returning to the MKS factory Patrimony model, the V2 version has upgraded the baton marker craftsmanship. Instead of the previous glue-adhesive process, it uses a higher-cost spot welding technique, which ensures that the baton markers will not fall off over time and hides the nail feet from view.

The Vacheron Constantin brand letters printed below the 12 o’clock position are very regular, and the letter A also uses the flat-headed A that is in line with the original version. Like other versions on the market, it is easy to make this A pointed, which is not in line with the original version. Although it is a small detail, the MKS factory is also relatively attentive.

In terms of the pointer, the polishing is very in place and there will be no roughness. And like the original version, it adopts mirror polishing technology. The central axis also has a slightly raised effect. The ends of the minute hand and second hand also have a downward curved treatment. The advantage of this is that it can read the time more accurately. Most formal watches of brands have this design.

The calendar window at six o’clock has a stepped treatment, and the font is relatively thick and fills the window.

In terms of the watch case, it is made of 316 stainless steel. Due to cost reasons, it cannot be made of platinum like the genuine product, but the overall texture is very close to the original.

The size and thickness are synchronized with the original, which are 40 mm in diameter and 8.5 mm in thickness respectively.

In terms of weight, there is a difference of approximately 40 grams. Since the density of steel is lower than that of precious metals, weight discrepancies are unavoidable. This is also the biggest drawback of this Patrimony 85180.

On the other side is the time adjustment crown. There is a Vacheron Constantin brand LOGO relief on the top of the crown. When magnified several times under a microscope, it is still clear and three-dimensional. In terms of function, simply put, the crown is a direct pull type. First, turn clockwise upwards to wind the watch. Pull out one gear to adjust the calendar and two gears to adjust the time.

The back features a transparent case design. The mirror-polished case back is engraved with brand and model information, as well as precious metal hallmarks. A sapphire crystal glass mirror is positioned in the center. Through the glass, you can see that the MKS Factory Patrimony V2 version is equipped with a modified Japanese Citizen 9019 movement to CAL.2450SC. Compared to the V1 version, the movement finishing is more refined, and the automatic rotor has been upgraded to the latest hollowed-out design used in official boutiques. The movement’s replication accuracy reaches approximately 85%.

In terms of movement quality, I believe many watch enthusiasts have heard of the Citizen 9015 movement and also know that the stability and accuracy of the 9015 are very high. In fact, this 9019 movement is the same as the 9015 movement. Only the pin tubes of the two are different. Therefore, they are distinguished by model. The 9015 movement belongs to a high tube pin, while the 9019 movement is a low tube pin. What’s the difference between high tube pins and low tube pins? In fact, it is how far the second hand is from the minute hand when it is installed. The high tube pin will be farther away, while the low tube pin will be closer to the minute hand. This is also the reason why the MKS factory uses the 9019 movement, which can ensure that the front pointer is consistent with the original.

In terms of the strap, the MKS Factory Patrimony V2 version uses a black calfskin strap with embossed alligator patterns. The texture is slightly inferior, and it is recommended to customize an alligator leather strap for a better experience.t.

In terms of the buckle, it is a pin buckle type. The back of the buckle also has precious metal engraved codes.

In summary, the MKS Factory version highly replicates the original in terms of front appearance. The shortcomings lie in the weight of the case (due to material cost issues) and the accuracy of the movement replication. However, putting these two aspects aside, the craftsmanship of the MKS Factory Patrimony 85180 V2 upgraded version is still worthy of recognition!
