APS Factory has launched the following nine color schemes for this release. This is also the first time APS Factory has introduced an integrated movement version of the Richard Mille 055. Why is it called the V2 upgraded version? In fact, this is an upgrade based on the ZF Factory version. APS Factory has adopted the latest version of the Dandong RMUL2 integrated movement this time. The biggest upgrade of the V2 lies in the heart-shaped design on the movement, while the original ZF Factory version used the old circular design. Other aspects are also quite well-executed.
APS Factory Richard Mille RM055 NTPT Carbon Fiber Review:
APS Factory’s new V2 Richard Mille RM055 is the highest-version model on the market. Richard Mille focuses on lightness and fashion. All metal parts of APS Factory’s RM055 are made of titanium, synchronizing with the original version (all visible and invisible metal accessories are titanium). As a “ticket for billionaires,” APS Factory uses the Dandong-customized integrated movement RMUL2, currently the highest-version movement, case, strap, and all accessories available on the market.
1.Movement: As the RMUL2 developed by Dandong for a long time, after long-term testing, the stability is quite high and the polishing is in place. The two fixed movement feet of the old version are round.
2.Case: At all costs, imported NTPT case is used (with high cost). Its strength is stronger than that of steel case. It shines brightly in the sun and has a metallic luster.
3.Strap: It is made of natural fluororubber. The original mold is integrally formed without any nozzle defects. The head bead for installing the strap also uses titanium metal, which is more sturdy and lightweight.
4.Mirror: A high-arc sapphire mirror is used. The production cost is extremely high. And it is plated with high-transparency film on both sides. It is clear and exquisite. Like the original version, it adopts a separate assembly design to make it more precise.
5.Screws: All screws adopt titanium metal electroplated dark gray process. Whether it is the fixed movement screws or the strap screws, there is no cutting corners. All are standard titanium metal screws.
6.Buckle: The buckle is molded according to the original version. The engraved characters on the front are clear and three-dimensional. The shape on the side is perfectly restored. All screws are real screws and can be disassembled. The spring piece also uses titanium metal. The elastic effect is better and more durable (ordinary versions are all steel sheets and will become very loose after a long time).
Finally, to summarize, the overall craftsmanship of APS Factory’s newly launched Richard Mille RM055 Carbon Fiber V2 version is excellent. In terms of appearance and structure, it is closer to the original than ZF Factory’s version. Additionally, this manual RMUL2 integrated movement is designed to be functionally synchronized with the original, featuring time-adjusting seconds-stop and winding mechanisms where gear operations are visible. It also provides a 70-hour power reserve, fully adhering to the original design—including the visible operation of the seconds wheel on the back of the movement.
