This Yellow Magic model was previously launched in collaboration with ZF Factory, but later, for reasons unknown—whether due to a failed negotiation or other factors—BBF Factory took over the production. However, this time BBF Factory has corrected some flaws from the ZF Factory version. Let’s take a look at the improvements made by BBF Factory on the Yellow Magic model.
First of all, it can be clearly seen in the appearance that the hour scale number 0 at ten o’clock has changed from the previous semi-missing corner to the semicircle of the opposite version, which is difficult for many cousins to find if it is not pointed out. Figure 1 shows the improved version of the BBF, and Figure 2 shows the previous ZF factory version
In terms of dial details, the BBF Factory Big Bang UNICO Yellow Magic Ceramic Watch features an anti-glare sapphire crystal glass mirror, with the HUBLOT brand logo printed on the glass. The entire dial adopts a highly hollow design, maximizing the restoration of the original authentic model’s hollow structure. You can observe the movement’s architecture and its operational effects when in motion. For example, the second wheel beneath the small seconds sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position operates identically to the genuine version, and the gear movements are visible when adjusting the time and date. Compared to other factories’ Big Bang series models, BBF Factory excels in detail processing—gears produced by other factories do not actually rotate.
At 3 o’clock, there is a 60-minute counter, which can only be timed for 30 minutes in the Big Bang series of the previous HB factory, while the BBF factory achieves the same 60-minute chronograph as the original product, which is also exclusive to the BBF factory. In addition, the date window of the BBF Big Bang is also opened in the chronograph counter, and the previous products can only be opened at 4 o’clock due to the movement limitation, which causes the problem of fake at a glance, while the BBF factory will not.
The case is made of yellow ceramic material. The overall craftsmanship is the same as the previous ZF Factory version, including the strap and buckle, which are identical to the previous version. I won’t elaborate too much here.
The last correction is in the process of filling the case back and the engraving behind the case, you can see that the case back process BBF factory has been corrected to the frosted process of the plate, and the engraving on the back of the case has also been filled with black oil.
