This time, C Factory used the genuine new-generation version for mold development and introduced two color schemes: m226570-0001 with a white dial and orange hands, and m226570-0002 with a black dial. Below, we will briefly introduce the craftsmanship details of C Factory’s new Explorer II model.
When it comes to the C Factory Explorer II, it’s necessary to mention the previous C+ and JVS Factory versions of the Explorer II. In these earlier versions, the date display was positioned slightly to the left. However, with the launch of the new C Factory Explorer II, this issue has been directly addressed, making it the only version on the market that perfectly aligns with the original in this aspect.
The scale coating is also one of the major highlights of this C Factory version, addressing the issue of black spots easily appearing in the luminous coating filling of previous versions.
The overall case size is 42mm, crafted from 904L stainless steel, with steel used both externally and internally, including the bezel. The Explorer II still retains the significance of outdoor exploration, and while ROLEX traditionally uses ceramic bezels for its models, this Clean Factory Explorer is replicated with a 1:1 mold based on the original. The distance and position of each interval for the bezel scale fonts are precisely controlled, especially for the C Factory 226570 model, where there are no defects of oil overflow in the filling process. It is equipped with a blue crystal high-transparency glass mirror.
For watch enthusiasts purchasing the C Factory Explorer II, the least of their worries is whether there is any color difference in the dial.
Both black and white are solid colors, and it is almost difficult to distinguish any color difference compared with the original authentic products. The basic scale ROLEX and the model code on the inner bezel have perfect depth and spacing. The classic dot scales and inverted triangles are matched with the printed coating minute track, which are all relatively normal configurations and restoration processes.
The watch features a closed case back design, with a cartoon-patterned sticker affixed to the case back from the factory. Internally, it is equipped with the Dandong 3285 large-sized movement. Why is it called the “large-sized version”? To ensure the calendar position matches the original, C Factory specifically commissioned Dandong Factory to customize this large-sized movement. If the original Dandong 3285 movement were used, the calendar would shift to the left. Since this watch has a 42mm diameter—larger than the 40mm diameter of models like the Greenwich Cola Bezel—the movement needed to be upsized to better fit the Explorer II. The movement still offers a 72-hour power reserve and fully replicates the GMT dual-time function.
The strap still adopts AR foundry steel strap, which is tight in workmanship, and the button opening and closing feel is also better. The code is 8GY.
Overall, the C Factory Explorer II has achieved a high level of replication in both exterior details and movement, addressing the “instant fake” issues of previous versions. If you’re looking for the pinnacle Explorer II, Clean Factory is definitely the best choice.
