This watch is also the same model endorsed by Jay Chou, a popular color scheme among many watch enthusiasts, and a dual-date watch that meets daily commuting needs. Below, I will discuss the craftsmanship details of the V7 Factory Tudor Royal ROYA Series M28600 through text and images to see if it is worth buying and playing with.

The Tudor Royal series was recently released and has garnered significant attention since its launch. I personally recommend the mainline day-date model of this series. The watch features a steel case with a brushed matte finish, a 41mm diameter, and a fluted bezel design with alternating cut flutes and polished surfaces, creating a unique aesthetic. The blue dial has a sunburst effect, with a date display at 3 o’clock and a day display window at 12 o’clock. The hour markers are three-dimensional Roman numerals. It is powered by a Calibre 2834 automatic mechanical movement with a 38-hour power reserve and 100-meter water resistance. The watch comes with an integrated 5-link steel bracelet, offering a blend of sporty and casual styles, versatile wear, and an accessible price point.

V7 Factory Tudor Royal Series 28600 Review:

First, we use calipers to measure the overall dimensional data. The measured diameter is 41mm, the thickness is 10.6mm (the authentic model is 10.5mm), and the weight is 147.8g. The overall dimensions and weight are not significantly different from the authentic model.

In terms of appearance, I believe many of you, like me, will think of the Rolex DD at first glance when seeing this Royal series. Indeed, as Rolex’s “sibling,” Tudor has positioned itself as a “popular version of Rolex products” since its inception, incorporating some of Rolex’s design and quality elements.

On the front dial, the V7 Factory Royal Series M28600 features a blue dial with three-dimensional Roman numeral hour markers. The blue dial also undergoes a delicate sunburst finish, with an overall color that is quite close to the authentic model, showing minimal color difference and no purplish tint.

The blue dial bezel of this V7 Factory Royal Series features a fluted design with alternating cut flutes and polished surfaces, creating a unique aesthetic. To be honest, it somewhat resembles the fluted bezel design of the Rolex Datejust, but this Royal Series model from V7 Factory also shimmers brightly under light refraction. The crystal is sapphire glass, installed properly without a white rim around the edges, offering high transparency.

The 12 o’clock fan-shaped window displays the day of the week, with the Tudor brand logo below. Using an oil pressure printing process, it appears three-dimensional and shows no ink overflow.

The date display at 3 o’clock uses relatively bold font printing by V7 Factory, which is quite consistent with the authentic model. However, the date is slightly shifted upward, an issue that can be avoided by asking the seller to carefully select the watch during shipment.

The hands are also well-made, with neatly applied luminescent material, and the central axis is slightly raised. However, there is some deficiency in assembly craftsmanship—visible signs of assembly on the hands can be observed. This, however, belongs to individual quality control issues, and Bokey will carefully inspect each watch before shipment to avoid such problems.

The case is made of 316L stainless steel, and the overall case shape is quite consistent with the authentic model. Both sides are treated with a mirror polishing process, which is very beautiful. However, daily wear requires some care, as this extensive polishing has a drawback of being less scratch-resistant.

The crown on the other side features a screw-down design to enhance water resistance, and the crown is engraved with Tudor’s classic shield logo. The entire crown has anti-slip serrations, polished smoothly, and feels very comfortable to twist.

The back features a solid caseback design to better ensure water resistance (suitable for swimming). Note: The red part is a factory sticker from V7 Factory, which can be peeled off after receipt.

Here’s a brief note on the packaging materials: the V7 Factory shipment includes a hangtag, warranty card, and instruction manual. The codes on the warranty card and hangtag correspond to the case code, such as the code “Q359505” shown in the picture. (Note: Bokey forgot to take photos of the warranty card and instruction manual, so this information is for your reference only.)

The screw-down solid caseback is polished with matte and brushing processes, demonstrating fine craftsmanship. Each tooth is polished, with clean edges and no burrs. The engravings on the caseback are relatively deep and bold, and the overall authenticity is quite good.

Is the movement of V7 Factory Tudor TUDOR Roya Royal Series good?

Opening the caseback of the V7 Factory Tudor Royal Series, we can see that the internal movement is a Seagull 2834, with a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. It shares the same structure as the common Seagull 2824 movement, with the addition of a day module, and achieves the same synchronous instantaneous jump function for the date and day as the authentic model. The authentic Tudor Royal Series uses the T603 movement, which is modified from the SW240 movement (previously the ETA 2834 before the Swatch Group stopped supply and switched to SW240). Both the SW240 and Seagull 2834 movements are imitations of the ETA 2834, so their structures are fundamentally the same. The only differences lie in some jewels and the precision of movement finishing.

There is also an engraved code below the balance wheel position, and the overall stability is quite good, as precise and durable as the Seagull 2824.

The strap is also made of 316 stainless steel, consistent with the authentic model. The five-link bracelet integrated with the case features a brushed finish on the outer and middle links, with the intervals treated with a fine mirror polishing process. The entire bracelet fits the wrist well, simply put, it is relatively “soft” and not “stiff”.

The clasp also uses the new design, and Bokey believes V7 Factory has paid attention to details here—just like the authentic model, there are two ceramic ball bearings at the safety clasp connection, ensuring smooth opening and closing without stiffness. When the safety clasp is opened, the interior features extensive polishing, with Tudor brand information engraved on it, and the engravings are relatively bold.

On-wrist effect: Bokey’s wrist circumference is 15.5cm, and it feels relatively moderate.

In summary, the Royal Series launched by V7 Factory achieves a level of craftsmanship authenticity and functional accuracy that can reach a near-indistinguishable standard, with a relatively complete range of color options. However, only a 41mm size is available, which may leave some watch enthusiasts with smaller wrists hoping for a 38mm version from V7 Factory. From Bokey’s perspective with years of experience, it is highly unlikely that a 38mm Royal Series will be released. Additionally, it should be briefly noted that this V7 Factory Royal Series currently only offers one movement version, with no Swiss movement version available. Please pay attention to distinguish between them to avoid being misled by unscrupulous sellers! Some watch enthusiasts may ask whether a Swiss movement version will be launched later. You can refer to V7 Factory’s Overseas Series, which has been on the market for five years without a Swiss movement version. I am Bokey.
