Now let’s briefly introduce some details of the workmanship of Factory V7’s Mark XX and talk about some differences from other versions on the market. In terms of workmanship, it is basically the same as Factory V7’s Mark XVIII. Except for the change in size from 41 millimeters to 40 millimeters, some design elements have also been added to the dial design. For example, the 3, 6, 9 and 12 stick indexes have been lengthened, and the water droplet effect is made in synchronization with the genuine craftsmanship. All three color schemes have the same craftsmanship. The water droplet craftsmanship is one of the key points to distinguish low versions on the market.
This craftsmanship was also first applied by Factory V7 on its Mark XVIII white dial, and it is also the detail that is exclusively restored in place in the market.
Another aspect is the cleanliness of the hands. At this point, we have to mention Factory M+ in Taiwan. This factory will make many watch friends think that it is more powerful than Factory V7 in copywriting and promotion. In fact, the pointer workmanship of Factory M+ is really not as clean and neat as that of Factory V7. Let me show you the pointer details of Factory V7’s Mark 20 under macro. Whether it is luminous filling or mirror polishing of the hands, it is relatively clean. The edges of the hands are also relatively clean and there is no burr feeling. Looking at the Mark 20 with a black dial, if there are burrs, it is very obvious, but it is still impeccable after being magnified several times.
Including the ends of the minute and second hands are also bent down. This is in line with the original version. Many brands have similar designs. The main function is to read the time more accurately.
The watch crystal is still made of sapphire glass with anti-glare blue film coating. The transparency is also very high. The edges are relatively transparent and the dial scale can be seen reflected on it. For the workmanship of small factories, there will be a white border.
Looking from another direction, the texture of the watch largely comes from the transparency of the mirror. If the glass is not good, then no matter how good the dial details are, they cannot be reflected.
The calendar window also has a small step treatment. The size of the calendar font is basically the same as the original.
In terms of the case, it is still polished with 316L stainless steel. In terms of thickness, it is a little thinner than the old Mark XVIII. It is 10.8 millimeters. The old Mark XVIII is 11 millimeters. The difference is not big. Of course, this is also in accordance with the original design.
The backs of the three color schemes all adopt a closed bottom design. The bottom cover is engraved with the JU-52 transport plane, which is the most famous transport plane of the German army during World War II. Before the war, as a civil airliner, it opened up many new routes. During the war, it participated in all actions of the German army and transported supplies for the troops. It is the most relied-upon transport plane of the German army. The JU-52 won the nickname “Aunt Junkers” from its own soldiers, and the Allied soldiers called it “Iron Anne”. And the internal movement still adopts two configurations for watch friends to choose from, namely the Swiss SW300 movement and the Seagull 2892 movement.
In terms of straps, all three color schemes use Italian calfskin material, namely green dial with brown leather, black dial with black leather, and blue dial with blue leather.
The installation method also adopts the quick-release design like the genuine product. It can be removed by just pressing the button on the back.
Including the buckle is also quick-release. The overall workmanship is relatively in place.
