Today, I will share with you a Richard Mille RM27-02 tourbillon watch. This third-generation RM27-02 Rafael Nadal is a sports tourbillon watch specially designed for tennis player Rafael Nadal.
Following the launch of the third-generation RM 27-02 Rafael Nadal tourbillon watch, its most striking feature is that the main frame of the case is connected to the hollow sports baseplate, and it is directly molded using the brand’s primary material, NTPT carbon fiber, without any connecting fasteners. The watch’s bezel and case back are crafted from all-new TPT carbon—here, “quartz” does not refer to the movement, but rather a high-strength composite material made from over 600 thin layers of TPT quartz fibers. Twelve titanium alloy spline screws are secured to the one-piece case/baseplate, enabling it to withstand external impacts of 5,000G. During high-temperature and high-pressure processing, the TPT quartz layers and NTPT carbon fiber layers undergo random reactions to form unique textures, making each processed case a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
This RM27-02 model launched by RM Factory allows a clear view of the entire movement structure through the watch crystal. At 6 o’clock is a floating tourbillon, while at 12 o’clock is Richard Mille’s exclusive fast-rotating mainspring barrel, which provides up to 70 hours of power reserve and increases kinetic energy efficiency by 20% during initial winding.
In terms of watch details, the white bezel is fixed to the case by 12 grade 5 titanium screws and is matched with a red strap and a red crown. To improve readability and identification, the ends of the hour and minute hands are also emphasized with bright red.
The back also adopts a classic closed-back style. Naturally, for the original version, the NTPT® carbon fiber/TPT® quartz bezel and back cover are directly installed on the integrated base plate and assembled by 12 grade 5 titanium alloy spline screws.
