The SBF Factory Panerai 1070 has a 44mm diameter, making it more suitable for daily wear compared to the previous 47mm models. The case is crafted from Panerai’s Goldtech red gold material, a special alloy consisting of gold and other precious metals, including platinum (0.4%) and a high proportion of copper (24%). This gives it a distinct reddish hue that is vibrant and resistant to oxidation. The bezel uses Carbotech™ material, first introduced in 2015. It is formed by stacking seven layers of carbon fiber per millimeter, bonded with polymers under controlled temperature and pressure conditions set by Panerai. This results in a material that is high-strength, lightweight, and features unique textures. The scale details on the bezel are accented with red gold, enhancing the overall premium feel. The watch offers a water resistance of 30 bar (approximately 300 meters).

This year, SBF Factory’s Panerai 1070 is a new diving watch launched by Panerai using two innovative materials – the Submersible Series red gold carbon fiber wristwatch. The highlight of this watch lies in the ingenious use of materials. Of course, in the watchmaking industry, Panerai is not the first to combine carbon fiber and rose gold; brands like Richard Mille and Audemars Piguet have done so before. Although Panerai follows suit, each brand’s watch design differs in shape. For this SBF Factory 1070, the overall mold-opening effort has extremely restored the charm of the original version. Certainly, the combination of black carbon fiber and rose gold adds a touch of luxury to the watch!
The bezel is made of carbon fiber material, which is characterized by lightness and durability. Of course, the bezel has a strong texture, and it can also rotate unidirectionally. The rotating sound is quite deep and mellow, rather than the crisp sound of a Rolex. Meanwhile, the engraved markers and hour markers on the bezel are very clear. The crown guard on the right side is also made of carbon fiber, which provides a good color coordination. Certainly, the use of carbon fiber also reduces the overall weight of the watch—the total weight of this watch is 153 grams, so it won’t feel overly heavy on the wrist!
In terms of the mirror surface, the Panerai 1070 is equipped with a sapphire crystal, which offers excellent transparency and is resistant to scratches during daily wear. The black dial is decorated with a sunburst pattern, showcasing varying shades of luster as light hits it. Both the hour markers and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova luminous material, emitting a blue-green glow in the dark. This dual-color combination is particularly convenient for wearers to read dive times underwater. The date window at the 3 o’clock position and the small seconds sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position enhance the visual richness of the dial. Additionally, to prevent skin allergies, Panerai uses black titanium metal for the screw-down case back. Its hypoallergenic properties ensure wearing comfort, adding to the watch’s allure through these meticulous details!
In terms of materials, the SBF Factory Panerai 1070 is crafted from stainless steel, with meticulous detailing and polishing that gives the watch the charm of excellent craftsmanship in all aspects. The watch features an overall 44mm diameter, a classic size for Panerai often referred to as the “golden size,” which generally suits the wearing habits of most watch enthusiasts. Of course, the material of the watch is unlikely to experience the awkward situation of color fading over time. Although the watch is made of stainless steel with electroplating, SBF Factory has inherited the excellent craftsmanship of the original VS Factory in terms of overall workmanship. On the back, the SBF Factory Panerai 1070 still features a classic solid caseback design. The yacht pattern and other engravings on the back are highly three-dimensional and clear. It also adopts a screw-down design, combined with a waterproof gasket, which enhances the watch’s water resistance. Notably, the edges of the caseback and the lug positions are both finished with edge-sealing craftsmanship, showcasing charming attention to detail—these are aspects worth praising for the watch! In terms of the movement, the SBF Factory 1070 is equipped with Panerai’s recently improved P.900 in-house movement, which beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. It features an Incabloc shock-resistant device, and a single barrel provides a 3-day power reserve. The movement is indeed a highlight of the SBF Factory version, as the factory’s reputation is inseparable from its focus on movement development. Additionally, the SBF Factory excels in ensuring movement stability, with outstanding attention to detail in its craftsmanship!
Regarding the strap, this time it is paired with a rubber strap. The engravings on the strap are very clear. Meanwhile, the rubber strap is highly convenient for later use, comfortable to wear, and easy to clean. Of course, the overall black color scheme matches the watch’s appearance, and the deployment clasp adds an extra touch of convenience!
In terms of luminescence, the authentic two-color luminous design is synchronized, and the overall brightness effect is still good.
